Full Production Line Charcoal Making Plant
This is a whole production line from using raw materials to make final charcoal briquettes.
Feedstock range:
Wide range agricultural and forestry biomass waste. For example, coconut shell, palm shell, walnut shell, olive shell,hazelnut shell, sawdust, wood chip, rice husk, cotton stalk, crop straw, bean Stalks, etc.
The main process goes as below:
● 1 We look for and plan to use biomass material, if it is large in size and has high moisture, you need to use a crusher (can be a comprehensive crusher, drum chipper, disc crusher, hammer crusher, etc.) and Dryer (can be a drum dryer or an air pulse tube dryer depending on the production capacity).
● 2 The continuous carbonization furnace requires the raw material particle size to be below 50mm, the thickness to be below 3mm, and the humidity to be below 15% to ensure high production efficiency.
● 3 If you have prepared the materials for use (no need to crush), we may need to use a sorter to remove metal and impurities, so we need to use a rotary screen.
● 4 Charcoal making plant carbonization furnace. If you have abundant raw materials, you can use carbonization furnace to produce charcoal directly to save cost to buy ready charcoal.( There're so many options raw materials we can use:
● 5 For factories with larger production capacity, we recommend rotating drum carbonization furnaces that can work continuously. It can work continuously 24 hours a day and is highly efficient. LPG preheating + recycled gas heating is adopted.
The main body of the carbonization furnace is composed of a feeder, an inner and outer cylinder, a cold carbon discharge, an insulation layer, and a combustion chamber. The material enters the inner cylinder through the feeder, and the temperature of the inner cylinder is lower than that of the outer cylinder, which can play the role of drying the material and raising the temperature of the material. After the cylinder rotates, the material enters the outer cylinder, and the temperature of the outer cylinder is high. The material is again carbonized into finished charcoal through anoxic dry distillation, and finally the cylinder is rotated and transported to the cold charcoal discharger for the next cooling charcoal discharge process.
Step of Continuous Biomass Furnace Carbonization Processing
■ 1-Drying
From the beginning of ignition until the furnace temperature rises to 160°C, the moisture contained in the machine-made rod mainly relies on external heating and the heat generated by the combustion itself to evaporate. The chemical composition of machine-made rods almost never changes.
■ 2-Carbonization initial
At this stage, it mainly relies on its own combustion rod to generate heat, and the furnace temperature rises to between 160-280°C. At this time, the wood material undergoes a pyrolysis reaction and its composition begins to change. One of the unstable components, such as hemicellulose, is decomposed to produce substances such as CO2, CO and a small amount of acetic acid.
■ 3-Full carbonization
The temperature of this stage is 300-650 ℃.
In this stage, the wood material undergoes rapid thermal decomposition while generating a large amount of liquid products such as acetic acid, methanol, and wood tar. In addition, methane, ethylene and other flammable gases have also been produced. These flammable gases can be circulated and burnt through valves. Thermal decomposition and gas combustion produce a lot of heat, so that the furnace temperature, wood materials at high temperatures carbonized into carbon.
To calcine high-temperature charcoal, in addition to the above three stages, heat must also be added to continuously increase the temperature in the furnace to about 800-1000°C, so that the volatile substances in the charcoal can be discharged, the carbon content of the charcoal can be increased, and the carbon content can be reduced. The graphite structure increases its conductivity.
All internal components of the continuous carbonization furnace are made of special high-temperature resistant precious metal steel, which is strong and durable, not easy to deform, not easy to oxidize, and has good thermal insulation performance. The machine is simple to operate, safe and reliable.
● 6 For smaller production capacity, we recommend one batch by one batch model:
This type furnace is finishing carbonization one batch by one batch. We burn firewood/any kinds wasted fuel preheating, then carbonization use 6-8 hours to finish( if original humidity is very high, time will be longer 1-5 hours). Then put for cooling, then we open and take out charcoal.
For the horizontal model, we use a trolley and a trolley with pulleys that are easy to move. For the hoist model, we use an electric hoist and a hoist crane, which saves a lot of labor.
Charcoal kiln is designed for bigger size materials, like wood log, branches, bamboo etc. This furnace can produce charcoal without crushing.
