This vertical charcoal furnace is a latest designed type charcoal furnace , with many advantages such as high carbonization speed, no smoke, high carbonization efficiency and so on. 

This new model adopts the modernest charring technology so that its carbonizing rate is increased significantly up to 99%. And the operation is very convenient with good safety.

Working Principle of the Vertical charcoal furnace

The Vertical Hoist Carbonization Furnace adopts a unique design with separate outer stoves and removable inner chambers. Each outer stove is equipped with 3 inner stoves (carbonization chambers). 

The process works as follows:

①　Load raw materials into an inner stove and seal it.

②　Use the electric hoist to lift and place the inner stove into the outer stove for carbonization.

③　After 6-8 hours of carbonization, the hot inner stove is lifted out.

④　Immediately replace it with another pre-loaded inner stove to start the next batch without any preheating.

⑤　The hot inner stove is cooled outside the furnace, allowing continuous 24/7 operation.

The system also recycles flammable wood gas produced during carbonization. A water purification system cleans the gas, which is then burned to self-sustain the heating process. 

Only the first 1-2 hours require firewood for preheating. After that, the furnace runs on its own recycled gas, saving fuel costs and reducing emissions.

Key difference from traditional furnaces:

Traditional furnaces often struggle with mixed or irregular materials. The vertical hoist design allows even carbonization of different material sizes and types, as long as they are loaded properly into the inner stoves.

Moisture Content Requirement

Proper moisture control is critical for efficient carbonization:

Recommended moisture: Below 25%

Maximum acceptable: 30% (but will reduce efficiency)

Why it matters:

Higher moisture means more energy is wasted evaporating water instead of carbonizing the material.

It extends batch time significantly.

It can result in incomplete carbonization and lower charcoal quality.

Tip from our engineers: If your raw material is too wet, dry it under sunlight or use a rotary dryer before loading into the inner stove.
